Getting a little behind on my blogging-but I have been so busy lately, I just don't have the time for it like I used to. Getting older means lots more outings and training, so I am a busy lady!
Mom and I have been visiting the grandparents almost every weekend. I love coming here to see Irie, Indiana, and, especially, Josette! I play and play and play and, did I mention, play? Mom also makes me work a little bit. Last time we were here we went out shopping with Grandma and anyone who knows her knows that is a lot more work than it sounds like ;) We went to Lowes where a little kid pet me. I liked him because he told me I had "claws" which makes me sound like a scary beast. I like that! After that we headed to the mall for a little bit. We met an NYPD officer who works with GEB sometimes. He seemed really nice, so maybe I will work with him one day! After that we went to McDonalds for some coffee-it was cold outside! And way windy-I had fun watching the flags going though-Mom says I am so weird sometimes.
Sometime since my last post we had a puppy class. I was really good this time. Good thing because I think Mom would have left me there if I wasn't! First we got in a circle and did commands. The last one to do them was out. Guess who was out first-me! Mom explained that I do everything at my speed-which is S-L-O-W. Seriously, I did a down but it takes some time to get my mind and body to work. Whatever, I'm still the cutest one there ;) Next we worked on our kennel behavior. I did really well until my favorite person Barb sat down near me. Then I always had to give her a kiss and a wag when we walked by. Mom was cracking up, but I just can't contain my love sometimes! After that we worked on doing different behaviors for our food and then some people greetings. We all played a little bit than lined up to leave. One at a time our raisers went by the door and called us across the room (and other dogs). We all did really well with that-I even held a down stay for the whole time since I was last in line!
Now we are on Spring Break-back at Grandma and Grandpa's for the week. I went on a walk and out to dinner. Also went grocery shopping-nothing too exciting. I have some pictures though!
Check back tomorrow for a special Easter post :)

Day with Yara
Yara's mom finally posted the pictures of our day together, so here they are ;)
First, some serious playtime:

Then we went out to eat. We were both pretty tired, so we were very good girls.

After lunch we went to the mall. Mom took the long way ;) It was a great day and I can't wait for our next visit. Mom has to remember to bring my own toys though since *someone* always destroys Yara's when we visit.

A Real Update
I just noticed it's been a while since I posted a real update for you guys. I can't remember all that we've done, but I'll give it a try. Nothing too fun has happened these past few weeks. I've been going almost everywhere with Mom since I have my jacket. I'm getting exceptionally good at this grocery store thing, if I do say so myself! I also saw a parade this weekend with Grandma while Mom took Irie to agility. I've been going on a lot of car rides too, which I love.
We had a puppy class on Monday night and I had so much fun! Mom didn't seem to enjoy herself though...I created this great game, the opposite game. Everything Mom asked me to do I did the opposite. "Fay sit" and I lay down, "Fay down" and I stand up, "Stay" and I move. Oh the looks on Mom's face were priceless! Mom said I better go into heat soon because she can't stand this teenager I've become. I don't know what she's talking about, I don't feel hot at all...
Let's see if I can't find some fun pictures for you guys. How about some outtakes from the St Patrick's Day photoshoot?

Vet, Outings, and Police Cars
This is going to be a huge update, complete with plenty of pictures for anyone who can make it through.
I'll start with a few weeks ago. We had a rare Spring-like day so Mom made sure to take advantage of it. We went for a long walk in town where I was pretty good. I sniffed a lot, but that's nothing new. I also saw a working guide dog. She seemed pretty cool, but we didn't get to say hi. When we got home Mom gave me a yummy marrow bone on the back deck for a while, and then she put it away and into the car we went. We got out at Georgina's house and I knew we were going to play! I was definitely excited and soon us gals and Stanton were playing like crazy! I was so tired when we got home, but then I asked to go outside. Mom was not happy when she saw me "Get Busy" and immediately called Barbara. The next day we were off to the vet where it was confirmed that I had a UTI. I didn't feel any different, but now I had to take meds. I was a good girl at the vet and I love Dr. E because she always gives me big hugs and sometimes cookies :)

Aunt Wendy came to visit us here and Mom had to show her all of the sites of our city so there was little down time. On Friday, Mom called all the places we planned on going to to see if it would be OK for me to tag along even without a jacket. She got the go ahead so I got to go out to lunch and to a museum. I squeezed under the table and only one person noticed me when we walked in. The food smelled delicious, but I maintained my composure like the little working girl that I am. No pictures from there, Mom was too busy stuffing her face ;)
Next stop was the museum. There was nobody else there, so we had the place to ourselves. Mom took the opportunity to show me all kinds of things and to take pictures. I thought it was a lot of fun and maybe we will go back again and stay a little longer.

The next day Grandma and Grandpa came up for lunch. I stayed in my crate this time. I went home with them for the night and Irie stayed with Mom for her agility on Sunday. Grandma took me for a walk and guess who was there? Kathy, my sitter from Christmas break! I was so happy to see her and I was such a good girl for her on our walk.
Mom came home on Sunday and then we had a busy week at home! Monday was a playdate at my mom's house. Uncle Farrell was there and my new friend, Chico. All 4 of us got to go and play, so it was quite the party! Thursday was IWYPRSD. Friday I went to Grandma's work for a bit where I helped her out. On Saturday I was an ambassador for GEB at a mall. I was such a good girl and spent 3 hours greeting my adoring public. Sunday was back up to school for us. Man did that vacation fly by!
Monday night was my evaluation. We did stuff on and off leash. I am proud to say I was a very good girl and earned my jacket!
Tuesday was my first day as a jacketed GEB dog. Mom did not want to let it pass by without some fun, and fun we had! First we went shopping at two stores. I was good in both of them, but some lady kept talking to me in the second store so I got distracted. Mom was not happy about that, not me-the lady! Afterwards we went to a GEB fundraiser. We had dinner at this restaurant with some of my people pals from puppy class. I was the only dog there, though I heard Stanton came later. I was fantastic and for the most part just laid and people watched.
The best part came on the way home. Mom's car just stopped and I'm pretty sure she didn't want it to. Our roomie took me out of the car and we had to sit on the side of the road for a while. Boy was it cold out there! Finally the police came and let us sit in his car. He liked me a lot and even gave us a ride home when he found out I am a guide dog in training! Good thing Mom has me, huh? I wonder how many other puppies can say they rode in the back of a police car?
Today was pretty boring. Mom and I went to the mechanic, but all I did was lay down while we waited. Some guy tried to pet me but Mom said no since he didn't ask first. If only people knew they could pet me if they were just polite!

IWYPRSD
How could I not participate in the blogging event of the year?!?! However, I was not going to go around like this all day:
So I improvised and wore my GEB scarf all over. And the best part about today is that Mom and I are off from school, so we had time for some fun adventures. First we took a ride in the car:
Then we got out at some place where Mom gets money. I hope she got enough to buy me something cool!
I was such a good girl and I'm pretty sure no one even noticed I was there! Then we got back in the car and went to this place that smelled really good! We went inside and I met the biggest dogs I have ever seen in my life! I wish Mom got a picture of my new friends, but she was too busy laughing at me trying to play with them. This is a picture I found online that sort of looks like my friends:
After that we came home and played for a while, but mostly just hung out. Sorry it wasn't the coolest IWYPRSD, but maybe next year's will be better?
